Sign up to see compensation estimateSummary: Under the direction of primary supervision of the CEO and secondary supervision of QI/QA Coordinator. The Data Analyst & QI-QA Support is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting healthcare data to improve patient outcomes and operational efficiency. Also, under the QI/QA responsibilities, evaluates software, systems and other technological applications to ensure they are free of defects or errors. With a primary goal to prevent potential issues that could affect the performance or functionality of the day-to-day operations. Under the QI/QA functions, you will also structure large data to useful information for quality improvement and quality assurance purposes.
Data Analyst Responsibilities:
- Gather, process, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including electronic health records (EHRs), claims data, and patient surveys.
- Identify trends and patterns in healthcare data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making for healthcare professionals and administrators.
- Create comprehensive reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Work closely with healthcare providers, IT specialists, and administrative staff to ensure data accuracy and effective use of information.
- Ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and security of healthcare data in compliance with regulations such as HIPAA.
QI/QA Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives based on data analysis.
- Assist in quality improvement projects, developing project plans, and ensuring timely execution to enhance patient care outcomes.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement, streamlining workflows, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance quality of care and operational efficiency.
- Work with QI/QA Coordinator to identify opportunities for improvement. Create reports for presentation at meetings based on recommendations and findings.
- Engage in quality audits, conduct patient surveys, respond to feedback, and ensure that patient needs are met in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with IT and team members to collect and analyze data. Structure large data sets to find usable information.
- Participate in quality improvement meetings internally and as needed.
- Responsible for all other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have graduated from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Healthcare Administration or related fields.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as SQL, Excel, Power BI and data visualizations tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to present findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Skill in creative program development and implementation, including the ability to assess community needs and make program adjustments in response to those needs.
- Knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence, understand and work with AI as needed.
Pay: $31.00 - $35.00 per hour
