Role summary

We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer with over 12 years of IT experience, including 3-5 years specifically in SRE practices. The role requires strong expertise in microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, and AWS Cloud. You will be responsible for ensuring application reliability using SLO/SLI/SLA frameworks, troubleshooting various technical issues including JVM errors and JDBC problems, and managing monitoring and logging systems like New Relic and Elastic Stack. Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools, performance tuning, and service mesh technologies is essential. This is a long-term, onsite position in Miami, FL.

Location: Miami, FL (5 days onsite)

Experience Required: 12+ Years

Must have / Required Skills:

  • 12+ years of IT experience, with 3–5 years in SRE practices
  • Strong expertise in Microservices, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS Cloud
  • Experience with Oracle/IBM/Tomcat, New Relic, and JVM troubleshooting
  • Understanding of Business Flows, Customer Experience, KPIs, SLAs
  • Strong in Elastic/OpenSearch, Logstash, Kibana
  • Hands-on with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, FlexDeploy, Artifactory
  • In-depth knowledge of Java-based app servers, performance tuning, service mesh (Istio/Nginx), AWS services (EC2, ALB, NLB, RabbitMQ)
  • Strong skills in Observability, Logging, Incident/Problem Management

Job Description

  • Ensure application reliability using SLO/SLI/SLA frameworks
  • Work with Java app servers, JMS, microservices, Kubernetes
  • Troubleshoot integration failures, JDBC issues, JVM errors
  • Handle monitoring (New Relic), dashboards, log analysis
  • Performance, capacity planning, chaos testing
  • Collaborate with various engineering teams for incident resolution
