Role summary

Autocam/NN Inc. is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage raw material inventory and sourcing strategies for its North American locations. This role involves reviewing demand forecasts, planning and ordering materials like stainless steel, alloy bar, and titanium bar, and coordinating commercial planning and PO releasing. The specialist will also lead contract negotiations, develop supplier partnerships, and resolve pricing and supply issues. Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is required, along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Supply Management, preferably in raw materials or metals.

Responsible for reviewing demand forecast with Product Managers / VSM Managers. Utilizing forecast and market information to plan, order and maintain proper inventory of raw material based on leadtime and time to replenish (stainless, alloy bar, titanium bar, forgings, components, etc.). Responsible for implementation of sourcing strategies set by the Strategic Sourcing team for NN Mobile Solutions locations in North America. Coordinates all commercial planning, PO releasing, pricing resolution for all production metals purchases and executes significant and innovative total cost improvement programs.

\*\*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

\*\*include but are not limited to:

  • Implements strategic supply direction for all production metals purchases.
  • Assist or lead contract negotiations for the Metals category for all NN Mobile Solutions locations in North America.
  • Lead and actively develop supplier partnerships that support continuous improvement in total cost, quality and delivery.
  • Establish preferred suppliers and conduct quarterly reviews to maintain a leveraged and right-sized supply base.
  • Align expenditures with established supply base performance objectives.
  • Assist suppliers with problem resolution and monitor effective and prompt corrective action closures.
  • Work with engineering and technical teams to establish and align supplier deliverables with product development and launch activities.
  • Participate in ongoing development, communication and implementation of supply management programs, policies and concepts.
  • Attend appropriate Purchasing team meetings and work with the team in a supportive manner to resolove issues.
  • Manages PO Creation, Order Tracking, Invoice pricing issue resolution, and order efficiency
  • Understand and follow the Quality Management System (QMS) and Environmental Management System (EMS).
  • Work closely with Product Managers – VSM and Quality to resolve with any supply issues or concerns
  • Responsible for Adding, Modifying Suppliers within the ERP System (QAD).
  • Responsible for monitoring inventory of the raw materials and use statistical analysis to reduce excess inventory without impacting the ability for Production to meet customer orders, requirements.
  • Must be proficient in MS Excel and knowledgeable on how to create Pivot tables, VLOOKUP formulas

\*\*EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

\*\*:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Engineering related field or equivalent industry experience
  • Minimum of four years Supply Management, preferably Raw Material / Metals Industrial experience
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
