DevOps Engineer – Application Deployment & Production Operations (Fintech)
Role summary
We are seeking a DevOps Engineer specializing in Application Deployment and Production Operations within the Fintech industry. This role focuses on building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, automating deployment workflows, and ensuring the safety and efficiency of production environments. Responsibilities include managing containerized applications on AWS, participating in incident response and on-call rotations, and maintaining secure, compliant environments. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in DevOps or Production Engineering, with strong skills in CI/CD, containerization, AWS services, Linux systems, and troubleshooting. Experience in regulated environments like fintech is a plus.
Responsibilities
CI/CD & Deployment
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI or similar)
- Automate build, testing, and deployment workflows
- Implement safe deployment strategies such as rolling or blue/green deployments
- Improve deployment speed while maintaining production safety
Production Operations
- Monitor application health, uptime, and system performance
- Manage and deploy containerized workloads (Docker, ECS or Kubernetes)
- Participate in on-call rotations and support incident response
- Perform root cause analysis and coordinate safe rollbacks when necessary
Environment Management
- Maintain clear separation between development, staging, and production environments
- Manage configuration and environment variables securely
- Work with existing AWS infrastructure to support deployments and environment configuration
- Ensure secrets are stored and accessed securely (e.g., AWS Secrets Manager)
Security & Compliance Support
- Enforce least-privilege access control practices
- Maintain logging and audit trails for operational activities
- Support internal compliance processes (e.g., SOC 2 readiness)
- Follow strict production access controls and security policies
What We’re Looking For
- 3+ years of DevOps, Production Engineering, or similar experience
- Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience deploying and operating containerized applications
- Solid understanding of Linux systems and Git workflows
- Strong troubleshooting and incident response skills
- Working knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM, CloudWatch, VPC basics)
Nice to Have
- Experience working in fintech startup, payments, or regulated environments
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms
- Experience supporting secure production environments
