Data Lakehouse Manager

Location:
Prefer hybrid at New Haven, CT office but open for 100% remote for strong candidate

Type: 6-month contract-to-hire

Overview:

Leads the enterprise data engineering function, managing the design, development, and optimization of a Snowflake-based Lakehouse on Azure. Combines hands-on architecture with team leadership to deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions supporting analytics and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead, mentor, and manage data engineering team
• Plan, assign, and monitor project work and performance
• Support hiring, onboarding, and employee development
• Ensure data platform reliability, scalability, and quality
• Collaborate with business/IT stakeholders for data solutions
• Drive data strategy, accessibility, and innovation
• Maintain team morale and adherence to company policies

Key Skills:

• Strong leadership, planning, and problem-solving
• Expertise in Azure data platforms and enterprise data flows
• Hands-on with: Snowflake, Apache Airflow, Talend, Qlik, SQL, Java
• Experience with ELT processes and best practices

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s in CS/IT or related field
• 15+ years of relevant experience
