Job Summary:
The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, deploying, and operating enterprise data center and network infrastructure. This role spans compute, storage, virtualization, and network platforms, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and automation. The engineer will collaborate with systems, security, and application teams to deliver resilient infrastructure platforms.
Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Network Engineering (Routing, Switching, Firewalls)
  • Plan, design, and implement networking infrastructure including Cisco Nexus and Catalyst, Dell, and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Configure and manage routing and switching platforms (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VLANs, EVPN, VXLAN, etc.).
  • Implement network segmentation practices by using VLANs, security policies, and other access controls.
  • Identify and troubleshoot complex networking issues while using monitoring and observability tools.
  • Drive lifecycle management of network infrastructure.
  • Compute & Virtualization
  • Configure and manage virtualization platforms (VMware, KVM, OpenStack, or similar).
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain server platforms (UCS, Dell PowerEdge, or similar).
  • Develop efficient operational workflows by creating VM templates, images, and other means of rapid host provisioning.
  • Perform regular patching of BIOS, firmware, and lights out management.
  • Storage & Data Platforms
  • Deploy and manage storage systems (SAN, NAS, object storage, Ceph, vendor arrays).
  • Manage backup and replication platforms for NAS/file share, block storage, and VMs.
  • Design storage architectures for performance, resilience, and scalability,
  • Monitor storage capacity, performance, and replication while proactively addressing issues.
  • Hardware & Data Center Engineering
  • Deploy and maintain physical servers, switches, and storage appliances.
  • Manage rack/stack, cabling, power, and environmental monitoring coordination.
  • Automation & Infrastructure as Code
  • Automate provisioning and configuration using Python, Bash, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Integrate infrastructure with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows.
  • Develop tooling to improve deployment consistency and operational efficiency.
  • Operations & Reliability
  • Participate in on-call rotation and incident response.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and drive remediation actions.
  • Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architecture standards.

Requirements:

  • Advanced networking experience (BGP, EVPN/VXLAN, MPLS, large-scale IP fabrics).
  • Experience with data center architectures (leaf-spine, Clos, SDN).
  • Storage expertise (NetApp, Dell/EMC, Pure, SAN/NVMe fabrics, Ceph, ZFS).
  • Kubernetes, container platforms, or cloud infrastructure experience.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and IaC (Terraform, Ansible).
  • Vendor certifications (CCNP/CCIE, JNCIP/JNCIE, VMware, Red Hat, NetApp, etc.).
  • Experience in regulated or high-availability environments (telecom, finance, healthcare).
