Senior Product Designer
Role summary
Nuro is seeking a Senior Product Designer to craft user experiences for autonomous driving technology development and deployment. This role blends product design with autonomy, simulation, and tooling. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and operators to translate complex systems into intuitive interfaces across 2D, 3D, spatial, and data visualization contexts. Ideal candidates are energized by technical depth and ambiguity, comfortable designing for expert users, and proficient in Figma and modern design workflows. Experience in spatial, simulation, robotics, gaming, AR/VR, automotive, or data visualization is highly valued. The role requires strong product thinking, interaction and visual design skills, and the ability to simplify complex workflows. Proficiency with AI tools and experience with design systems are preferred.

About the Role
Nuro is looking for a Product Designer to help shape the tools, interfaces, and experiences that support the development and deployment of autonomous driving technology. This role sits at the intersection of product design, autonomy, simulation, developer tooling, and operational tooling. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, and operators to turn complex technical systems into intuitive, elegant user experiences.
This role is best suited for a designer who is energized by technical depth, ambiguity, and the opportunity to design tools used by highly technical users. You will work across 2D interfaces, 3D environments, spatial workflows, data visualization, and internal systems that help teams understand, debug, evaluate, and improve performance.

At Nuro, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. For this position, the reasonably expected base pay range is between $145,830 and $219,000 for the level at which this job has been scoped. Your base pay will depend on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and skills. In the event that you are considered for a different level, a higher or lower pay range would apply. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus, equity, and a competitive benefits package.
