## Duties & Responsibilities

Purpose of Functional Assignment:
The Senior Product Designer, provides strategic design leadership and advanced digital solutions for complex clinical, financial, and administrative challenges and digital solutions. The Senior Product Designer serves as the lead advocate for end-users and a key partner for stakeholders, ensuring AI/ML-enabled products meet the System’s objectives, functional requirements, and assist in the efficient execution of tasks.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Designs and delivers digital solutions for data and AI enabled or powered products, that are easy to use and meet the needs of clinical, financial, and/or administrative end users.

  • Defines design strategy to meet specific business objectives in collaboration with product teams.
  • Leads data scientists, engineers, product managers, and healthcare domain experts to ensure that design solutions align with user needs and the System’s objectives.
  • Creates wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, documenting minimal viable product (MVP) features and modular design elements to guide engineering teams in phased, iterative development.
  • Leads and facilitates user research sessions and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions. Refines and iterates designs based on user feedback and analytical data.
  • Designs data visualizations for the interpretation of complex healthcare data and to support decision-making.
  • Leads the creation and maintenance of design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency and scalability across data and analytics products.
  • Establishes design standards, patterns, and best practices for the product team.
  • Leverages knowledge of healthcare data, privacy standards (e.g. HIPAA), and analytics processes to ensure designed digital solutions meet regulatory requirements and user needs.
  • Partners and provides regular progress reports to key stakeholders regarding design concepts to ensure alignment with System goals and end user needs.
  • Stays abreast of advancements, emerging technology and trends in the field of Artificial Intelligence, digital design, health care technologies, digital visualization, and related areas.
  • Performs other related duties, as assigned.

## Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economic/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or related discipline and six (6) years of progressive, responsible experience in data processing, computer systems, and applications.
2. A satisfactorily equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in disciplines listed in “1” above, or in a related discipline.
Preferred Knowledge Areas, Skills, Abilities, and other Qualifications:
1. Experience working with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar design and prototyping tools.
2. Experience with Miro, FigJam, or comparable platforms for collaboration and ideation.
3. Experience using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools for data visualization and analytics.
4. Experience using Dovetail, Optimal Workshop, User Testing, or similar tools for user research and testing.
