Role summary
Omnex Systems is seeking a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer for Digital Transformation in Ann Arbor, MI. This role focuses on assisting automotive clients with the implementation and training of EwQIMS Software products. Key responsibilities include leveraging deep knowledge of automotive quality standards (IATF 16949, Automotive Core Tools like APQP, FMEA, PPAP) and problem-solving methodologies to configure and guide clients. The engineer will also manage implementation timelines, act as a subject matter expert, document client interactions, and serve as a liaison between clients and the Product Development team. A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in automotive quality is required.

opportunity with our Ann Arbor, MI office. This position is primarily responsible for assisting automotive clients with the implementation and training of our EwQIMS Software products. The role requires a strong background in automotive quality management to effectively translate client needs into successful software deployment.
Software Implementer Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation and training
of the EwQIMS Software products for automotive, aerospace, medical clients, conducting both one-on-one and group sessions online and onsite
- Utilize deep knowledge of
IATF 16949
,
Automotive Core Tools
(APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP), to configure and guide clients through software utilization that meets these standards.
- Apply
project management
principles to manage implementation timelines, scope, and client expectations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for client quality processes, especially
PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
,
Inspection Control
, and
Problem-Solving
methodologies.
- Maintain a great relationship with assigned clients, acting as a trusted advisor.
- Effectively document and record all aspects of client interactions, and manage the help content and support ticketing system.
- Identify and document product issues and Change Requests from clients, serving as a key
liaison between the Product Development Team and the Client.
- Assist in the validation and testing of software upgrades where required
- Leverage experience in
auditing (internal or supplier)
to assist clients in establishing effective compliance processes within the software.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 3-6 years of experience
in Quality and/or Supplier Quality, with a
mandatory focus on the Automotive industry.
- Demonstrated practical experience and strong understanding of:
- IATF 16949
requirements (standard & assessments)
- Automotive Core Tools
(APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP). AIAG VDA 2019 and AIAG 4

- Quality
Auditing
principles and practices. Knowledge and familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, IATF 16949
- Quality-focused

and measurement systems.
- A university/college degree is preferred.
Preferable knowledge and hands-on experience in Digitalization initiatives, SAP implementation, or ERP implementation projects.
- Basic understanding of data management and SQL
for report analysis, data migration, and troubleshooting configuration issues.
- Experience in
software implementation or SaaS product deployment
(preferably in quality or manufacturing systems) is a plus.
- Multi language speaker is a plus.
- Experience in Aerospace, Medical, High-Tech is also a plus.
Required Skills:
- Excels in a team-oriented environment; highly motivated and energetic.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple client projects simultaneously.
- Computer proficient (intermediate skill level or higher) in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to remain calm and patient when dealing with customers.
