Role summary

Omron Robotics and Safety Technologies (ORT) is seeking a Senior OT Cybersecurity Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and enforcement of its global cybersecurity practice, focusing on IEC 62443 standards. This role involves ensuring robotics development teams adhere to secure best practices by integrating cybersecurity throughout the development lifecycle. The engineer will define product security requirements, apply industry standards, lead risk assessments and threat modeling for OT environments, and establish governance frameworks. The position requires at least 3 years of experience in OT/ICS cybersecurity and strong knowledge of relevant standards. The role is based in Guadalajara and emphasizes collaboration with global teams.

This role is pivotal in ensuring that our robotics development teams across the US, Europe, and Mexico follow secure best practices in alignment with our business strategy. The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise with leadership and documentation skills, guiding teams to embed cybersecurity into every stage of the development lifecycle!

What you’ll do:

✅ Define and implement product security requirements for next-generation robots.

✅ Apply industry standards like
IEC 62443
,
Cyber Resilience Act
, and Machinery Regulation.

✅Partner with global development teams to integrate secure-by-design principles into robotics software.

✅Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability management for OT environments.

✅Establish clear governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance and resilience.

✅Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to engineering teams on cybersecurity best practices.

✅Drive continual improvement through audits, metrics, and feedback loops.

What you’ll bring:
