Role Description

The Principal Software Engineer role at Onawa Pet is a full-time, remote position. Responsibilities include designing and developing backend systems, implementing advanced software solutions, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of applications. The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to plan, build, and maintain innovative software architecture. Additionally, you will lead technical decision-making processes and contribute to the improvement of best practices in software engineering.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Computer Science fundamentals and principles
• Proficiency in Back-End Web Development and Software Development
• Experience in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to design scalable systems
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers to achieve project goals
• Knowledge of cloud technologies and distributed systems is a plus
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
