Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Network Engineer (AWS-focused) to design, implement, and support highly scalable and resilient network infrastructure across hybrid environments. This role is instrumental in ensuring low-latency, high-performance connectivity for global applications while seamlessly integrating AWS cloud environments with on-premise data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage AWS network architecture, including: VPCs, subnets, route tables, NAT gateways, IGWs
  • VPC peering, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink
  • Architect and support hybrid connectivity between AWS and on-prem data centers (VPN, Direct Connect)
  • Optimize network performance, latency, and availability for production systems
  • Partner with SRE and application teams to support scalable, fault-tolerant architectures
  • Implement and maintain network security controls: Security Groups, NACLs, routing policies
  • Integration with firewalls and edge security
  • Support load balancing and traffic management: AWS ALB/NLB, Route 53, and/or F5 (LTM/GTM)
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues across cloud and hybrid environments
  • Build and enhance monitoring, logging, and alerting (VPC Flow Logs, CloudWatch, SNMP, Syslog tools)
  • Contribute to infrastructure automation using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
  • Participate in on-call rotation supporting critical production systems

Qualifications

  • 5 8+ years of experience in network engineering, with strong cloud exposure
  • Hands-on experience designing and managing AWS networking (VPCs, routing, connectivity)
  • Strong understanding of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, routing concepts)
  • Experience with hybrid cloud networking (VPN, Direct Connect, on-prem integration)
  • Background with enterprise networking hardware (Cisco, Juniper, firewalls)
  • Experience supporting high-availability, production environments
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across multi-layered network architectures
  • Experience with AWS Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and multi-account architectures
  • Familiarity with load balancing technologies (AWS ELB, F5 Big-IP)
  • Scripting or automation experience (Python, Bash)
  • Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation)
