Cloud Storage Migration Engineer/Architect (Google Cloud Platform AWS) 8 week project 100% Remote

Overview:

We re seeking a Cloud Storage Migration Engineer to lead and execute the migration of large-scale data from Google Cloud Storage to Amazon S3 . This role will focus on designing efficient, scalable data transfer solutions while ensuring data integrity, security, and performance throughout the migration lifecycle. This is a hands-on engineering role with potential architectural input, ideal for someone experienced in large data migrations across cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement a migration strategy from Google Cloud Platform to AWS for large-scale file storage
  • Execute and optimize data transfer workflows using tools such as AWS DataSync
  • Build and manage AWS infrastructure using AWS CDK
  • Ensure data integrity and validation throughout the migration process
  • Monitor migration performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize throughput
  • Implement security best practices for data in transit and at rest
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless transition and minimal disruption
  • Document migration processes, architecture, and best practices Near 0 downtime for migration

Skills Needed :

Google Cloud Storage AWS S3 Typescript CDK DataSync Cross Region S3 replication, prior experience with data sync for zero downtime
