
Senior Cloud & Security Engineer
Role summary
Opkey is seeking a Senior Cloud & Security Engineer to manage and secure its AI-powered SaaS platform. This hands-on role involves supporting AWS/Azure environments, designing secure infrastructure (VPC, IAM, encryption), and contributing to compliance efforts (SOC2, ISO). The engineer will also handle production incident escalations, improve operational processes, and participate in customer-facing security discussions. The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, SaaS operations, or security engineering, with strong AWS/Azure skills and familiarity with security frameworks. This role offers impact and visibility without direct people management.
Opkey is the AI-powered Cloud Application Lifecycle Management platform helping enterprises reduce risk across Oracle, Workday, and other ERP ecosystems. As we scale, we’re strengthening our U.S.-based technical presence to support customer security diligence, production maturity, and enterprise onboarding.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a
Senior Cloud & Security Engineer
to support infrastructure, security reviews, and production operations across our SaaS platform.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who:

You will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Customer Success, and our offshore support teams to improve reliability, reduce escalations, and strengthen enterprise confidence.
What You’ll Own
Cloud Infrastructure & Security
- Support and manage AWS and/or Azure environments
- Assist with VPC design, IAM policies, firewall rules, and encryption controls
- Contribute to infrastructure documentation and architecture diagrams
- Partner on SOC2, ISO, and security questionnaire responses
- Help implement monitoring, logging, and alerting standards
Production & Incident Management
- Serve as escalation support for critical (P1/P2) production issues
- Partner with offshore teams to improve incident response discipline
- Contribute to root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions
- Improve runbooks and operational documentation
- Support high availability and disaster recovery testing
Customer-Facing Technical Support
- Participate in security and architecture discussions during enterprise sales cycles
- Support onboarding and go-live readiness reviews
- Provide technical clarity to customers during escalations
- Help address security and compliance questions with confidence
What We’re Looking For
- 7–10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, SaaS operations, or security engineering
- Strong AWS and/or Azure experience
- Solid understanding of networking, IAM, encryption, and firewall concepts
- Experience supporting SaaS applications in production environments
- Familiarity with SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar frameworks
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical topics clearly
Nice to Have
- Exposure to ERP ecosystems (Oracle Fusion, Workday, UKG)
- Experience working with global support teams
- Background in a high-growth SaaS environment
