Role summary
Seeking a Member of Technical Staff with a passion for visual computing problems, including computer vision, graphics, and CAD. This role involves writing code for visual applications in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include developing geometric algorithms, creating interactive tools for image and vector graphics processing, collecting and annotating data for training computer vision models, and writing visualization code for debugging and interfaces. The ideal candidate has industry experience or projects in computer vision, graphics, or machine learning, preferably with Python and PyTorch, and a strong engineering mindset.
We’re looking for candidates with an interest or knack in solving visual computing problems (computer vision, graphics, CAD, rotating a shape). If enjoy writing code for things you can see, also in a fast paced environment, you’re likely a fit for this role.
As part of our founding visual computing team you may:
* Write novel geometric algorithms to process vector graphics / images
* Develop interactive tools to process images / vector graphics
* Collect data, annotate, and train computer vision models / VLMs
* Write beautiful visualization code for both debugging and for interactive interfaces
Qualifications (none of these are hard requirements)
* Industry experience or projects working on hard problems in computer vision, graphics, or machine learning (with Python / PyTorch)
* Being scrappy (getting things done, over theoretical soundness)
* Publication record in venues like CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ICCP, ICIP, TPAMI, SIGGRAPH
* Good visual taste / an appreciation for aesthetics
* A reputation for having an “engineering mindset”
* Strong communication skills
* Experience working on CAD, vector graphics
* Interest in manufacturing, engineering, EPC
