Responsibilities include leading infrastructure architecture, managing automated deployments with Terraform, ensuring secure traffic routing, implementing reliability engineering practices, enforcing API standards using tools like SwaggerHub and Python, and leveraging Splunk and Dynatrace for observability.
Position Overview

Program Manager
with a deep technical foundation in
Apigee
and
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
to lead the enterprise API and integration strategy.
- This role oversees the design, planning, and technical execution of ApigeeX/GCP infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance at scale.
- The ideal candidate brings 10–12 years of experience, combining strategic program oversight with hands-on expertise in DevOps, SRE practices, and API governance.
Core Responsibilities
- Strategic Infrastructure Oversight:
Lead the technical design and maintenance of ApigeeX and GCP infrastructure architecture.
- Automated Deployment:
Oversee the deployment of GCP components using Terraform to ensure multi-environment consistency.
- Traffic & Security Management:
Manage Google Cloud Load Balancers, Private Service Connect (PSC), and Secure Web Proxy (SWP) to ensure secure, efficient routing.
- Reliability Engineering:
Manage Google Cloud Managed Instance Groups for automated scaling and high availability; troubleshoot firewall and connectivity issues.
- Governance & Standards:
Enforce API standards and compliance across teams, utilizing SwaggerHub (OpenAPI) and custom Python-based linting rules.
- Observability:
Utilize Splunk and Dynatrace for advanced log analysis, performance tuning, and proactive root-cause resolution.
Technical Requirements
- API Management:
Expert-level experience with Apigee (X and Hybrid), including Shared Flows, OAuth 2.0, AuthN/AuthZ, and traffic management.
- GCP Architecture:
Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform architecture;
Google Certified Professional Cloud Architect
is highly preferred.
- Python & Automation:
Strong Python scripting skills for building automation tools, API lifecycle validation, and CI/CD integrations.
- DevOps/GitOps:
Proficiency with GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.
- Monitoring:
Hands-on experience with Splunk and Dynatrace for real-time application performance monitoring.
Qualifications
- Experience:
10–12 years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, API management, and technical program leadership.
- Technical Breadth:
Deep understanding of containerized services (Docker), cloud-native runtimes, and networking.
- Communication:
Ability to bridge the gap between architectural vision and operational execution, collaborating effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Standards:
