Role Overview

We’re looking for a motivated Software Engineering Intern who’s eager to learn and contribute to real-world product development.

As an intern, you’ll work alongside experienced engineers and contribute directly to features used by real users. You’ll gain hands-on experience across the full stack while learning how modern, secure, and scalable systems are actually built.

This role is ideal for students or early-career developers who want meaningful, practical experience—not just surface-level exposure.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in building and maintaining features for the Paytience platform

• Contribute to full-stack development using React, Node.js, and modern JavaScript frameworks

• Help develop and maintain REST APIs and backend services

• Participate in code reviews and collaborative development workflows

• Support implementation of security best practices

• Assist with cloud infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and DevOps automation

• Debug, test, and improve application performance

• Work closely with engineers, designers, and leadership to ship real features

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science or related field

• Basic experience with JavaScript/TypeScript

• Familiarity with React, Node.js, or similar frameworks

• Understanding of Git and version control workflows

• Interest in cybersecurity and secure software development

• Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn

Nice to Have

• Experience with REST APIs

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

• Exposure to Docker, CI/CD tools, or DevOps concepts

• Knowledge of authentication systems (OAuth, JWT, etc.)
