Role summary

Electronics Test Engineer needed to develop specifications, testing, inspections, and documentation for electronics components and replacement parts for nuclear power plant applications. This role involves interfacing with Sourcing, Quality, suppliers, and GE product departments. Responsibilities include resolving technical issues, ensuring timely delivery of designs and technical support for manufacturing and tests, providing power electronic solutions, and demonstrating knowledge of analog and digital electronics design, requirements management, verification, and testing of power distribution and controls products. The engineer will leverage product development lifecycle knowledge for technical support and utilize excellent technical problem-solving skills to develop manual or automated production test procedures for product reliability and functionality, providing technical support to technicians.

In this role, the Engineer will develop specifications, testing, inspections, & documentation for electronics components & their replacement parts for nuclear power plant applications. They will interface with Sourcing and Quality personnel and with suppliers & GE product departments.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Support the team in resolving technical issues in support of current projects, equipment under test, or in-service platforms;

·        Ensure on time delivery of detailed design and technical support for manufacturing & tests;

·        Provide power electronic solutions for products & projects;

·        Demonstrate your analog and digital electronics design knowledge managing requirements, designing, verifying and testing power distribution and controls products.

·        Use your knowledge of the product development lifecycle to provide technical support to the team and the wider business.

·        Have excellent technical problem-solving skills; to be able to assess problems thoroughly and drive logical conclusions (i.e. common-sense approach, not embarrassed to ask the “obvious” questions).

·        Develop manual or automated production test procedures to ensure product’s reliability and functionality.

·        Provide technical support to technicians for various testing activities.

QUALIFICATIONS
:

·        Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering from an accredited university/college, equivalent qualification or equivalent level of knowledge and experience

·        Minimum of 3 years of power electronics experience in an Engineering position

·        Prior experience with National Instruments LabVIEW and TestStand

·        Knowledge of electronics design and development activities including exposure to design for manufacture & test-methodologies.

·        Be familiar with technologies in power switching and control circuitry.

·        Experience in diagnostic troubleshooting of both Analog and Digital Electronics.

·        Hands on experience with measurement instrumentation such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.

·        Programming experience in LabView.

·        Experience using automated test systems and writing automated test programs.

·        Experience writing Technical Documents.
