About the Role

Perfect in Weakness is a Christian faith-based clothing brand focused on spreading messages of strength through vulnerability and faith. We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern to help build and launch our Shopify website, creating a seamless and impactful online experience for our customers.

In this role, you will work closely with the founding team to bring our digital storefront to life. Success in this position means delivering a clean, user-friendly, and high-converting Shopify website that reflects our brand identity and mission. This role plays a key part in our growth, as the website will serve as the foundation for our product launches and customer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and customize the Shopify website for Perfect in Weakness

• Implement responsive and user-friendly web pages optimized for both desktop and mobile

• Collaborate with team to translate brand vision into a functional and visually appealing online store

• Optimize website performance, speed, and usability to enhance the customer experience

• Integrate essential Shopify apps, plugins, and features (payments, analytics, email capture, etc.)

• Test, debug, and maintain website functionality to ensure a smooth launch and ongoing performance

• Assist in implementing basic SEO and best practices for eCommerce conversion

Qualifications

• Experience with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)

• Familiarity with Shopify or willingness to quickly learn the platform

• Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and responsive design

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a small team

• Interest in eCommerce, startups, or building digital products

Preferred:

• Experience with Shopify themes (Liquid)

• Previous project or portfolio showcasing web development work

• Interest in faith-based or mission-driven brands
