We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to join our team! The mission of the Basketball Operations Engineering team is to build software that wins championships. This position involves building and scaling platforms that support various facets of Basketball Operations, including tools for coaches, scouts, and performance staff.
What You Will Do:
- Are proficient in multiple programming languages and frameworks, with deep expertise in Typescript.
- Have professional experience with modern web and cloud development practices, and are familiar with or eager to learn TypeScript, React, Prisma, MySQL, Nginx, and AWS.
- Possess expertise with designing data schemas and APIs.
- Have developed, enhanced, or implemented technical patterns to boost your team's capacity for delivering high-quality code.
- Have a proven history of building and maintaining critical system components essential to a product's functionality.
- Have successfully aligned with senior stakeholders on the technical direction for unclear problem areas.
- Have contributed to work estimates, prioritization, and alignment with Product Management to ensure well-defined projects.
- Have tackled ambiguous or poorly defined problems, providing technical direction and fostering team alignment.
- Balance trade-offs to deliver effective solutions that align with long-term goals and the team's engineering principles.
- Have mentored other developers individually and in groups, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Collaborate effectively with peers across disciplines such as Product, UX, Operations, and Data.
