We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Metadata Analyst. to support and strengthen the integrity of product data across our publishing, ERP, and distribution systems. This role is ideal for a data-driven, analytical professional who enjoys improving systems, solving inconsistencies, and understanding how product information impacts operational performance and sales visibility.
You will work cross-functionally with Publishing, Sales, Marketing, eCommerce, Finance, and Operations to ensure metadata is accurate, consistent, and aligned across platforms. This position offers strong growth potential into broader systems governance and metadata strategy leadership over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and audit product metadata across ERP, publishing systems, and distribution platforms.
- Ensure accuracy of ISBN hierarchies, pricing, format attributes, dimensions, rights, and territory data.
- Identify inconsistencies across systems and implement corrective processes.
- Develop and monitor data quality KPIs.
- Support ONIX feeds and retailer data requirements.
- Improve workflows to reduce manual corrections and reconciliation.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance product discoverability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree Preferred or 1–3 years of experience in data analysis, operations, publishing, consumer products, toy, or similar industries.
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data validation).
- Experience working in ERP or database-driven environments.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
- Effective communication skills and comfort collaborating across departments.
Salary: $55,000-$75,000 (Based on experience)
