Test Engineering Manager

We're partnering with a publicly listed advanced energy company, that has already raised half a billion dollars in capital and is approaching one hundred employees. They are aggressively growing to meet the world's expanding energy demands, and their technology is being researched and built in real time just outside of Chicago. They've acquired a new facility — and they need the right engineer to help bring it to life.

What you'd do:

• Own and coordinate the testing and qualification program for a brand new engineering facility
• Interface directly with the construction manager on facility build-out, design, and space modification
• Facilitate design decisions alongside internal engineering teams to shape how the space functions operationally
• Manage EHS/ELS compliance coordination and associated documentation
• Serve as the connective tissue between engineering, facilities, construction, and compliance — ensuring every workstream lands where it needs to

What you've got:

• A real engineering background — you've worked on a factory floor, commissioned a lab, or managed a technical facility buildout
• Comfort operating at the intersection of engineering, construction, and compliance without losing the thread
• Experience coordinating complex, multi-stakeholder programs in a regulated or technically demanding environment
• Strong documentation and coordination instincts — you know how to manage paperwork without being buried by it
• Backgrounds in semiconductor, aerospace, defense, oil & gas, or similarly rigorous industries are all welcome
