Role summary
Plateau is seeking a Product Manager for its Clovis, NM Headquarters. This role is responsible for overseeing new product development, collaborating with the marketing team on strategy implementation, and conducting market research, vendor analysis, and cost analysis. The Product Manager will also prepare business plans, manage product testing and rollout, ensure compliance with equipment regulations, analyze sales and profitability, and monitor market trends to provide recommendations to management. A bachelor's degree in business or marketing, in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, and the ability to prepare market forecasts and business plans are required. Previous telecommunications or product management experience is preferred. The position requires strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. Some travel is expected.

This position oversees new product development and works closely with the marketing team to create and implement marketing and sales strategies for all assigned product lines. This includes conducting market research, vendor analysis, cost analysis, preparing business plans, product testing, rollout, and following equipment regulations. In addition, the Product Manager is responsible for analyzing sales and evaluating profitability and customer satisfaction; monitoring and identifying developing market trends; and making associated recommendations to management.
Minimum requirements to apply include a bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or another related field; an in-depth knowledge of sales and marketing techniques; and the ability to prepare market forecasts and business plans. Previous telecommunications or product management experience is preferred. The successful candidate will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; have strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills; and will have demonstrated advanced leadership skills.
Some travel throughout Plateau’s geographic serving area, including occasional overnight stays, will be required. This position will also assist with marketing events as needed. A clear 3-year driving record is necessary.
