The Data Engineer role supports the development and maintenance of data pipelines, integrations, and reporting solutions to enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. It collaborates with IT, analytics teams, and business stakeholders to ensure data accuracy, availability, and reliability. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, effective collaboration, and an interest in AI/ML development.

*Key responsibility:*

  • Develop, test, and maintain data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Integrate data from ERP, manufacturing, and other business systems.
  • Perform data validation, cleansing, transformation, and feature engineering to ensure data quality.
  • Implement and maintain data governance practices by ensuring data quality, consistency, security, and compliance with organizational data standards and policies.
  • Write and maintain SQL queries, views, and basic data models for reporting and analytics.
  • Support data warehouse and business intelligence environments.
  • Develop Python scripts for data processing, analysis, and model development.
  • Assist in building, testing, and deploying machine learning models under senior guidance.
  • Run experiments and evaluate model performance using defined metrics.
  • Integrate data pipelines and AI/ML models into production environments.
  • Monitor data pipelines and model performance; troubleshoot data and scalability issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers, developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Document data flows, technical specifications, and model architectures.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, quality assurance, and post-implementation support.
  • Follow best practices for data governance, security, versioning, and reproducibility.
  • Stay updated with emerging data engineering and AI/ML technologies.

*Qualifications:*

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, Engineering, or related field required.
  • 0–2 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or related technical internship experience preferred.
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL).
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.
  • Exposure to tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SSIS, Python, or similar technologies preferred.
  • Understanding of data structures and fundamental programming concepts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong documentation skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies and continuously improve technical skills.

*Compensation:*

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $70,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $80,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
