Overview

The Sales Data Analyst role serves multiple functions as a domain expert of data extraction, database creation and manipulation, analysis, visualization, and presentation, primarily in support of identifying opportunities and establishing priorities for increased market penetration and revenue growth for the AirSupply Tools business.

This critical position owns all Sales-related reporting and KPI, providing these to the CEO, Vice President of Sales, and Controller as needed to empower strategic decision-making, identification of trends and goal achievement, to facilitate development of plans and budgets, and reporting of results to the AirSupply Tools Board of Directors.

Additional projects utilizing the core skillsets of this position may periodically be required, including but not limited to: development of data management and reporting tools that facilitate operational and manufacturing efficiency or execution, and implementation of CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) methodologies that leverage available AI LLM resources.

Key Accountabilities

  • Sales Data Extraction, Analysis and Reporting: Works with Sales and Customer Support resources in conjunction with the AirSupply ERP system (DataWare) to develop tools and interfaces that seamlessly support extraction and presentation of sales and customer related metrics, including but not limited to: Bookings, revenue, margins, delivery time (book to bill), by cohorts of dollar value, profit percentage, geography, channel, end customer, and sales frequency by product type.
  • TAM (Total Available Market) Evaluation: Maintains and updates the master database of tool control penetration by aircraft or vehicle platform, geographical or squadron location, and channel partner, including total opportunity size, level and vintage of penetration, opportunity Pipeline, and booked Backlog.
  • CRM (Salesforce): Supports the outside Sales team with administration of our Salesforce CRM system, including but not limited to data hygiene, customization of reports, views, dashboards and workflows to improve visibility and efficiency, and development of monthly, quarterly and annual reports around the new logo Pipelines, metrics and results.
  • Visualization: Uses appropriate commercially available tools to create visual representation of data and trends suitable for simple interpretation by stakeholders both internal and external as needed.
  • Tool Cross-Referencing: Assists the Quoting and Procurement teams with development and maintenance of an interactive cross-referencing system for tool equivalencies and substitutions across various tool brands and manufacturers.
  • Commission Reporting: Classifies bookings and shipment values by type, geography, and salesperson vs. defined quotas, supporting the AirSupply Controller in calculation of quarterly commission payments.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, including but not limited to: Computer Science, Database Management, Mathematics, or other closely related areas
  • 3+ years of professional experience in market research and structured data synthesis, analytics and modeling
  • Advanced working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Excel, PPT, Word)
  • Experience with SQL as well as BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau or equivalent
  • Experience extracting/analyzing CRM data; Salesforce experience preferred
  • Knowledge of Python for data manipulation, or data warehousing tools such as Snowflake or Redshift, a plus

  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively or independently; demonstrable bias for organization and time management with proven capacity for completing work on schedule
  • Capable of working on several projects simultaneously, demonstrating flexibility in accommodating shifts in prioritization as needed
  • Ability to work in a stationary position 70% of the time, consistently operating a computer and office productivity equipment; occasionally moves around an office environment; ability to communicate and accurately exchange information both visually and audibly

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
