Role summary

Job Description:
Perform internal audits and quality assurance tasks for the organization.
Reporting Relationship:
Systems Optimization Manager
Scope of Supervision:
None
Responsibilities:
- Executing internal audits to help maintain the pharmacy software system with SOM oversight.
- Perform daily Quality Assurance tasks to ensure correct data entry and compliance.
- Assist leadership by running and providing reports necessary for analytics.
- Assist in developing and implementing audit plans, procedures, and best practices.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by manager.
- Participate in surveys conducted by authorized inspection agencies.
- Participate in the pharmacy’s Performance Improvement program as requested by the Performance Improvement Coordinator.
- Participate in pharmacy committees when requested.
- Participate in in-service education programs provided by the pharmacy.
- Pursuing continuing education programs appropriate to job responsibilities and certification requirements.
- Reports any misconduct, suspicious or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer.
- Comply with and adhere to the standards of this role as required by ACHC, Board of Pharmacy, Board of Nursing, Home Health Guidelines (Title 22), Medicare, infusion Nurse Society, NHIA and other regulatory agencies, as applicable.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work with all levels of management.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow.
- Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions
- Creative, motivated, flexible, and innovative team player.
- Basic competence in duties and tasks of supervised employees.
- Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, evaluation, and scientific methods.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Ability to direct and recommend cost-effective creative solutions
Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two to four years’ related experience preferred.
- Computer skills that include word processing and efficient use of the internet and e-mail.
- Prior experience in a pharmacy or home health company is of benefit.
- Experience with KanTime or CareTend is of benefit.
- Prior experience in a consumer-related business is also of benefit.
