Role summary
Prescient Edge is seeking a Command and Control Software Engineer to support a Federal Government client. The role requires extensive experience in designing and implementing robotic control software for air and maritime systems, with a strong background in software engineering using languages like C#, Python, or Java. The engineer will develop software for government/military robotics Command and Control (C2) systems, manage DevOps pipelines (CI/CD, automated testing), and handle systems integration for unmanned vehicles and payloads. Experience with NATO standards, Navy's Common Control System (CCS), MOSA, and the TAK ecosystem is crucial. The position also involves implementing DoD cybersecurity controls and vulnerability assessments. A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and a Secret Clearance are required. The role is remote within the US.

Experience
- 10 years of experience in the design and implementation of robotic control software for air and maritime systems.
- 10 years of experience in software engineering (e.g., C#, Python, RTI DDS, or Java)
- 7 years of experience developing software for government or military robotics Command and Control (C2) systems.
- 3 years of experience managing and operating DevOps pipelines for software releases, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools and automated testing for multiple deployment environments.
- 5 of experience systems integration engineering experience, specifically focused on the seamless technical integration of unmanned vehicles, Minotaur mission systems, sensors, and specialized payloads into broader U.S. and international C2 systems. Experience managing complex "system-of-systems" challenges, ensuring full interoperability and data synchronization.
- 5 years of experience engineering and managing the integration of diverse air and maritime uncrewed platforms with government C2 architecture; coordinating technical requirements across multiple hardware providers; and maintaining system compatibility with evolving C2 interfaces to provide a cohesive common operating picture; experience in.
- 3 years of experience working with NATO STANAG 4817 for Unmanned Systems. Experience integrating disparate software systems using APIs, SDKs, network protocols, and UxS Control Segment Maritime Domain Extension (UCSMDE).
- Demonstrated experience with C2 the Navy’s Common Control System (CCS), Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA), and a minimum of two years of experience with the TAK ecosystem (WinTAK, ATAK, TAK Server).
- 5 years of experience in military and international exercise with NATO tactical communications and Maritime Big Play.
- 3 years of experience implementing DoD cybersecurity controls and performing vulnerability assessments.
