Product Designer
The Successful Candidate’s Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop manufacturing details and release engineering packages for customized orders
• Complete detailed engineering drawings for sales and customer review within established lead times
• Design and manage design projects from conception to completion
• Provide exceptional production support throughout the manufacturing process
• Offer professional guidance and proposals regarding design and layouts of products specified for custom customer projects
• Collaborate with operations, shared services, sales, and peer teams in efforts to optimize designs for cost, manufacturing, installation, and project integration
• Regularly utilize knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology

The Ideal Candidate For This Position Will Have

• University degree or college diploma in Engineering
• Excellent knowledge of Solid Works or other 3D CAD software
• Comprehensive understanding of product design and engineering standards
• Aptitude to work in both imperial and metric units of measurement
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
• Superior initiative, self-motivation, professionalism, and ethics
• Ability to travel internationally

Additional Assets For This Position Include

• Experience with ERP software, including BOMs, material allocation and product configurations
• Knowledge of North American building and fire codes and standards
• Exposure to sheet metal cutting and forming processes
• Practical knowledge of welding and machining operations
• Previous HVAC industry experience in design, manufacturing, or sales
• Aptitude with personal hand tools and power tools used in commercial construction
