Role summary

A Bilingual Cybersecurity Analyst (Japanese-English) is needed in Plano, TX, to enhance the organization's cybersecurity posture and support global and Japan-based stakeholders. Responsibilities include monitoring security systems, incident response, vulnerability management, and ensuring compliance with global and local standards. The role requires 3-5 years of cybersecurity experience, with at least 1 year in areas like vulnerability management, network security, endpoint security, or GRC. Strong bilingual communication skills (Japanese/English) and analytical abilities are essential. This is an on-site, full-time position offering competitive hourly pay and benefits.

We are seeking a Bilingual Cybersecurity Analyst (Japanese-English) to join our team in Plano, TX. This role is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and strengthening the organization’s cybersecurity posture while supporting global and Japan-based stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in security operations, vulnerability management, and compliance, along with strong bilingual communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and antivirus tools
  • Detect, investigate, and respond to cybersecurity incidents and breaches
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing, recommending remediation strategies
  • Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Monitor cybersecurity threats and trends to proactively mitigate risks
  • Collaborate with IT, legal, and compliance teams to ensure security alignment
  • Document incidents, investigations, and remediation actions; prepare reports for management
  • Support rollout and maintenance of security tools for Japan affiliates
  • Assist in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen)
  • Lead and support compliance efforts aligned with global and local security standards
  • Participate in special cybersecurity projects as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in cybersecurity or a related technical role
  • At least 1 year of experience in one or more areas:
  • Vulnerability Management
  • Network Security
  • Endpoint Security
  • Cybersecurity Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
  • Strong knowledge of endpoint security tools and practices
  • Experience working with clients and managing stakeholder relationships
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Technical Lead
  • Experience working in global or cross-cultural environments
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
