
Security Operations Manager
Role summary
The Security Operations Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations and client policies. This role involves managing staff, including scheduling, hiring, training, payroll, and performance evaluations. The manager is responsible for financial oversight, labor management metrics, and client relationship management, providing status updates and ensuring contract compliance. Key duties include auditing staff capabilities, coaching employees, managing safety protocols, assessing maintenance needs, and preparing reports. The position requires a strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations, as well as emergency procedures.
Security Operations Manager
Summary of Duties:
Oversees the daily operation of the terminal or areas of responsibility. Greets employees/agents, establishes schedules and assignments, discipline and evaluates employees. Provides required, identified training, and keeps agents informed of changes in procedure, hours or operation, or upcoming requirements. Plays an active role in overall safety program and assures operations are performed in accordance with established safety practices. Manages the financials of area of responsibility. Maintains accurate timesheets and attendance records for payroll.
Responsibilities:
- Create, maintain, and manage strong client relationships with an emphasis on growth
- Thorough knowledge of federal, state local and client regulations. In addition to knowledge of post specifications. Emergency procedures, client policies and procedures
- Will handle staff scheduling, oversee staffing levels, involve in hiring and training and payroll
- Guides a team of mangers, supervisors, leads, and other support staff
- Meet with client regularly, provide status updates, ensure contract compliance and customer needs are met
- Consistently audit and evaluate the quality and capabilities of the staff: coach and support staff to actively address gaps
- Oversees financials and labor management metrics, provides performance analysis support to ensure the understanding of performance drivers for revenue and operating cost variances
- Oversees assignments to ensure that positions are covered, and that the Client is being services in accordance with their needs. Responsible for replacing staff due to call offs and time off requested.
- Trains agents, disciplines, evaluates, and documents employee performance. Provides direction for employees through appropriate communication. Issues disciplinary action and makes a corrective action plan to assist employee in altering their behavior. Commends employees for outstanding achievement.
- Acts as a safety monitor in their area to make sure that employee’s are using proper lifting techniques and that all safety regulations are being met. Assesses equipment and building maintenance needs and reports findings for repair or replacement.
- Prioritizes work assignments to maintain efficiency or replacement.
- Monitors sign-in and sign-out of employee timesheets to assure accuracy of employee’s hours.
- Prepares reports, investigates, response to questions and provides documentation.
- Follow all safety rules. Observes and reports any unsafe or hazardous conditions immediately to their manager or proper authority.
- May be requested to perform other duties as assigned based on Manager’s needs or airline activity.
