A growing plaintiff-side law firm seeks an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to manage a full caseload from intake through resolution. The ideal candidate will have a JD, an active Ohio Bar license, and at least 3 years of experience in workers' compensation law, with strong negotiation and advocacy skills.

Our client, a well-established and growing plaintiff-side law firm, is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who is passionate about advocating for injured workers and delivering a high-quality client experience while managing a full caseload from intake through resolution. The Associate Attorney will represent and counsel clients in workers' compensation matters, ensuring they receive all entitled benefits. This role involves managing cases end-to-end, including client communication, case evaluation, negotiation, and representation at administrative hearings.
Responsibilties
- Represent clients in workers' compensation claims from intake through resolution
- Advise clients on legal rights, benefits eligibility, and case strategy
- Maintain regular communication with clients and medical providers regarding treatment and case progress
- Manage client expectations and deliver a high-quality client experience
- Review medical records and case documentation to assess treatment status and claim value
- Negotiate settlements with adjusters and opposing counsel
- Attend hearings before administrative bodies and courts across Ohio
- Ensure compliance with all deadlines, notices, liens, and case requirements
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation within the firm's case management system
- Collaborate with internal teams and provide support/coverage to other attorneys as needed
- Build and maintain relationships that contribute to referrals and firm growth
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
- Active license and good standing with the Ohio Bar
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in workers' compensation law
- Strong understanding of claims handling, hearings, and settlement negotiations
- Experience reviewing and interpreting medical records in relation to claims
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
