Company Description

Provectus Consulting is a management and technology consulting firm serving clients across strategy, operations, change management, and technology. We combine deep industry expertise with advanced capabilities in data, automation, and AI to help organizations transform how they operate and grow. Our AI by Design philosophy ensures that artificial intelligence is embedded with intention, architected into the foundation of how our clients work, not bolted on as an afterthought. We bring together the right people, technology, and approach to create tangible, lasting value at every stage of transformation

About the Role

As a Data & Automation Engineering Consultant, you will work directly with our clients to design and build automation workflows, data pipelines, and system integrations across the Microsoft and Azure ecosystem. You will report into the Data & AI business unit and go from requirements gathering through implementation, documentation, and handoff, owning the full lifecycle of your deliverables. You will partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions, and you’ll create the documentation and runbooks that make your work repeatable and sustainable.

This is a remote, client-facing delivery role where you’ll manage multiple concurrent workstreams in fast-paced, high-expectation environments.

Proximity to New York City preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Power Automate workflows to automate manual processes such as document ingestion, data extraction, and operational reporting
  • Build end-to-end automation and data workflows, from requirements gathering through implementation and documentation
  • Work across data platforms including Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure SQL Warehouse to support AI governance, data transformation, and financial reporting
  • Design and implement API integrations and system connectivity to enable efficient data exchange across business and operational systems
  • Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions and process improvements
  • Collaborate with engineering and business teams across Azure-based data platforms and enterprise systems
  • Deliver high-quality, production-ready outputs including automation workflows, data pipelines, and mapping artifacts
  • Develop clear, structured documentation and runbooks to support scalable, repeatable operational processes

You might be a good fit if you have

  • 5+ years of experience building automation workflows and data solutions, ideally in a consulting or client-facing delivery setting
  • Hands-on experience with Power Automate, Azure data platforms (Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure SQL Warehouse), and API integrations
  • Strong documentation habits. You write runbooks and process docs that other people can actually follow.
  • A full-stack mindset. You're comfortable going from a stakeholder conversation to a working solution, managing multiple workstreams, and creating clarity without a lot of hand-holding.
  • Relevant certifications preferred, such as Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203), Databricks Certified Data Engineer, or Power Platform Functional Consultant (PL-200)
  • Experience working with private equity firms or portfolio companies is a plus
