Job Description
Driven is scaling. The book of work is substantial, the leadership team is strong, and the engineering squad is being built now. What is missing is the PM who will own it.
As Product Manager, Driven Lending, you will define what gets built and why. You will work directly with Driven's business leaders to understand the strategic initiatives and problems worth solving, translate those problems into a clear product roadmap, and drive delivery through a dedicated engineering squad. You will bring the discipline and rigor to keep a high-ambition team focused on the highest-impact work.
This is not a role for someone who needs a playbook handed to them. It is a role for someone who will write it.
Responsibilities: What you will do
New products - You will lead the end-to-end product work to bring new products to market - defining requirements, driving engineering delivery, and ensuring a successful client-facing launch.
Sales intelligence - You will implement lead scoring for the Driven sales team, enabling them to prioritize opportunities based on sale probability and focus their energy where it converts.
Risk and credit policy - You will own the systems changes required to support Driven's evolving risk model and credit policy - working closely with risk, compliance, and engineering to deliver with precision.
Platform modernization - You will research, define, and build the roadmap for Driven's exit from its current technology platform and migration to a modern, scalable replacement. This is a multi-phase initiative with significant strategic importance.
Market and competitive intelligence - You will stay current on trends and innovations in the lending and fintech sectors, using competitive insight to identify where Driven should differentiate and where it needs to move faster.
What you will do day-to-day
- Translate Driven's product vision and strategy into a clear, sequenced roadmap in partnership with business leaders and the broader Product Management team
- Engage deeply with internal stakeholders and client-facing teams to gather requirements, understand user needs, and ensure alignment
- Write clear, detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that engineering can execute on with confidence
- Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and review sessions as the product authority in the squad
- Act as a close partner to the engineering lead and team on priorities, requirements, and trade-offs
- Prioritize features and initiatives based on business value, user impact, technical feasibility, and data
- Ensure Risk Management is a critical consideration when designing solutions or bringing new products to market
- Monitor and report on product performance, identifying opportunities to improve outcomes for clients and the business
- Support release planning including client communication and training
What great looks like in this role
- Products launched to clients on time and adopted
- Lead scoring live and driving measurable improvement in sales conversion
- Systems changes supporting risk model and credit policy delivered accurately and on schedule
- A clear, credible roadmap for platform modernization that leadership has confidence in
- An engineering squad with a trusted backlog, consistent velocity, and a product leader they rely on
Qualifications: What you will bring
Lending domain expertise - You have meaningful experience in lending, credit, or a closely adjacent financial services domain. You understand how lending products are built, how risk and credit policy shape technology decisions, and how advisors and clients interact with lending solutions. You do not need to be taught the fundamentals of the business.
Product depth - You are a product manager, not a project manager. You identify problems worth solving before defining solutions. You prioritize with discipline, using data and client evidence to make and defend your decisions. You know when to say no - and you do.
Analytical rigor - You are data-driven in the truest sense. You interrogate assumptions, including those held by senior leaders. You do not move forward without evidence, and you are comfortable making that case clearly and directly.
Courage and independence - You will work with strong, opinionated business leaders. You will be expected to challenge their assumptions when the data points elsewhere, maintain focus when the temptation is to do everything, and hold the line on prioritization when others push back. This requires confidence grounded in substance.
Technical fluency - You are comfortable in the detail. You can engage intelligently with engineering on system design, integration constraints, and technical trade-offs. You ask the right questions and make informed decisions without needing translation.
Communication - You write clearly and concisely. Your user stories leave no room for ambiguity. Your stakeholder updates are direct, evidence-based, and actionable.
