Role summary

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong Business Intelligence background to join our Analytics team. This role focuses on executive-level reporting, KPI frameworks, and data storytelling to inform strategic decisions in the healthcare sector. You will define key metrics, build reliable infrastructure, and partner with Finance, Engineering, Clinical Operations, and Commercial teams. Responsibilities include designing and maintaining executive dashboards, owning the core metrics framework, developing BI reports, writing complex SQL, creating visualizations in Tableau/Power BI/Looker, supporting data quality, conducting ad hoc analyses, and championing data literacy. Requires 3+ years of experience, advanced SQL, expertise in at least one BI platform, strong KPI design skills, and proficiency in Python/R.

We are seeking a Data Analyst with a strong Business Intelligence background to join our growing Analytics team. In this role, you will be the primary owner of executive-level reporting, KPI frameworks, and data storytelling that directly informs strategic decisions across the organization. You will work at the intersection of data engineering, business strategy, and visualization of complex datasets into clear, actionable insights for C-suite and senior leadership audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, build, and maintain executive dashboards and KPI scorecards that provide real-time visibility into business performance for C-suite and senior leadership stakeholders.
  • Own the company's core metrics framework — define, document, and govern KPI definitions, data sources, and calculation logic to ensure consistency across all reporting surfaces.
  • Develop and deliver recurring business intelligence reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly) covering commercial performance, operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, and financial health.
  • Partner with Finance, Operations, Sales, and Clinical teams to understand reporting requirements, surface analytical insights, and proactively identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Write complex SQL queries and build scalable data models in Snowflake or Redshift to support self-service analytics and reporting pipelines.
  • Create compelling data narratives and visualizations using Tableau, Power BI, or Looker; present findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support data quality initiatives by identifying and resolving discrepancies, validating source data, and collaborating with data engineering teams on pipeline accuracy.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses in response to business questions from senior leadership; deliver findings with actionable recommendations on tight timelines.
  • Contribute to the development of a data culture — champion data literacy across teams through documentation, training, and shared analytical best practices.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of experience in a Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related role with a demonstrable portfolio of executive-facing reporting and dashboards.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency — comfortable writing complex joins, window functions, CTEs, and query optimization across large datasets in cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, or equivalent).
  • Hands-on expertise with at least one major BI/visualization platform: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sigma; experience building and publishing production-grade dashboards for leadership audiences.
  • Strong command of KPI framework design — experience defining, standardizing, and governing metrics across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets for ad hoc analysis, financial modeling, and presentation of analytical findings.
  • Working knowledge of Python (Pandas, NumPy) or R for data manipulation, statistical analysis, and automation of reporting workflows.
  • Experience with modern data stack tooling including dbt, Airflow, or similar transformation and orchestration layers.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex data findings clearly to non-technical executives; strong written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment with ambiguous requirements and the ability to prioritize multiple requests from senior stakeholders simultaneously.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Industry experience:

Prior analytical work in MedTech, Pharmaceuticals, Clinical Research, Hospital Systems, or Digital Health is a significant differentiator. Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT codes) and regulated data environments is highly valued.

  • Experience building reporting for commercial functions in life sciences — including sales force analytics, territory performance, market access, or clinical trial enrollment metrics.
  • Exposure to HIPAA-compliant data environments; understanding of PHI handling, de-identification standards, and audit trail requirements.
  • Familiarity with Zoho CRM reporting and analytics, including pipeline analytics, opportunity forecasting, and rep performance dashboards.
  • Experience with financial reporting analytics — P&L variance analysis, budget vs. actuals, revenue forecasting, or cohort-based retention modeling.
  • Knowledge of statistical methods: regression analysis, cohort analysis, A/B testing, or time-series forecasting.
  • Certifications in Tableau Desktop Specialist, Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, or equivalent BI platform credentials.
