Role summary
Quanta Nashville is seeking a Test Engineer Manager to lead and manage their Test Engineering team. This role involves monitoring test issues, allocating resources for timely resolution, and overseeing the implementation of test updates to ensure smooth integration and customer satisfaction. The manager will act as the primary liaison between global headquarters, internal TE teams, and customer engineering teams. Key responsibilities include driving test issue resolution, managing software release deployments, collaborating on test versions, understanding customer test strategies, defining capacity requirements, and supporting communication with the Quality group. The role also emphasizes process improvement, quality enhancement, and operational cost reduction.

We are currently seeking candidates for the following position!
Position Summary:
Lead and manage the Test Engineering team. Responsibilities include monitoring test related issues and allocating resources for timely resolution. Oversee the implementation of test updates, ensuring smooth integration and minimal disruption while maintaining exceptional customer satisfaction. Serve as the primary liaison between the global headquarters, TE Teams within the organization and the customers engineering team.
Essential Functions:
- Manage a team of Test Engineers and Test Technicians assigned to test for the customer product
- Drive test issue resolution with global headquarters and customer
- Monitor for new test software releases; track staged deployment (single rack testing, multiple rack testing, all production) and ensure the process completes in a timely fashion
- Collaborate with Global Alignment Team (GAT) on Test versions
- Maintain awareness of customer test strategy and provide advanced notice and potential impact of changes
- Work with Operations and Process Engineering to define capacity requirements related to test infrastructure
- Support communication of test issue details by Test Engineering team to Quality group
- Actively work towards process improvement, quality improvement and operational cost reduction
- Other duties as assigned
Education And Experience
- Masters Degree in Engineering preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field required.
- 10 years experience in Test Engineering;
- Minimum 5 years leading an Engineering Team
- Basic understanding of server hardware and server testing

- Strong written and spoken English skills; Bi-lingual in Mandarin preferred
- Ability to operate independently in multiple locations.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to distinguish between colors.
- Ability to bend, stoop, stand/sit for prolonged periods, move about production and warehouse facilities.
