We are currently looking for a Senior SRE to join one of our major financial clients in Montreal.

Job Overview:

You will be part of a global DevOps Service Platform team with members in Paris, Bangalore, and Montreal. This SRE-focused role is central to improving infrastructure reliability, observability, and automation.

You’ll work closely with development and support teams to ensure the stability, security, and scalability of a range of DevOps tools across both on-premise and Azure cloud environments.

The role requires prior SRE experience and requires very good Python scripting or development skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Support & Adoption

• Ensure availability and performance of DevOps platform tools (Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Jira, etc.)

• Operate under a Follow-The-Sun model and maintain SLA commitments

• Assist development teams in implementing CI/CD best practices and tools

• Communicate effectively on incident resolution and release coordination

Tooling & Automation

• Install, upgrade, and manage DevOps tooling and related infrastructure

• Prototype and validate new tools via PoCs to improve the software factory

• Reduce manual workloads by developing automation solutions and chatbots

• Contribute to cloud transformation initiatives with Microsoft Azure

Monitoring & SLOs

• Define and implement KPIs to establish and track SLOs, SLAs, and SLIs

• Monitor system health and performance, ensuring high availability

Knowledge Sharing & Governance

• Document processes and create best-practice guidelines

• Act as the regional expert on CI/CD tooling for the AMER region

• Participate in knowledge-sharing communities related to deployment and testing

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Technical environment:

• Must-Have Tools: Python, Linux, Bash, Jenkins, Git, Monitoring Tools

• CI/CD Stack: GitHub, GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Jenkins, XLDeploy, Jira

• Build & Artifact Tools: Maven, MSBuild, npm, Nexus, Artifactory, Sonar

• Cloud & Infrastructure: Microsoft Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, ArgoCD

• Automation & Scripting: Bash, PowerShell, Python, Chatbots

Required qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering, platform support, or software factory administration

• Strong autonomy and initiative, with ability to lead discussions and engage with stakeholders

• Proven ability to analyze complex cross-team technical issues and deliver pragmatic solutions

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), including tool presentations and documentation

Nice to Have:

• Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Enterprise, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD modernization in the cloud

• Knowledge of SRE principles and performance observability (SLOs/SLIs)

Working Environment:

• Hybrid work model: 4 days on-site per week in Montreal.

• Candidate must be located in Montreal or willing to relocate

• English OR French fluency
