Role summary

Quanterion Solutions Inc. (QSI) is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to integrate automated security scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines, enforce cloud security policies on AWS, Azure, and GCP, and protect infrastructures from threats. The role involves partnering with development teams to resolve security incidents, conducting risk assessments, and educating developers on secure coding practices. The engineer will also assist in building AI systems for threat prediction and ensure software compliance with industry regulations. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 3 years of software development experience are required, with AI model experience and cloud platform familiarity being key. Programming experience in Python, Java, Rust, C++, or SQL is desired.

What We Are Looking For

If you are driven with a desire for continuous learning and development, our DevSecOps Engineer position may be for you! In this role you will:

  • Integrate automated security scanning tools (SAST, DAST, SCA) directly into CI/CD pipelines to detect vulnerabilities early.
  • Write and enforce codified security policies for cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), ensuring resources are provisioned securely.
  • Ensure infrastructures are protected from threats and attacks.
  • Partner with development teams to rapidly identify, contain, and resolve live security incidents or misconfigurations.
  • Monitor threats, perform regular risk assessments, and prioritize the patching of security flaws before releases.
  • Educate developers on secure coding practices and provide reusable patterns and libraries for quicker, safer builds. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]
  • Work with customers to construct intelligent systems that evolve and adapt to ever changing security threats.
  • Assist our Senior Software Developer/Architect in building artificial intelligence systems to create models trained on data sets that can predict and adapt to outcomes and security threats.
  • Build high-quality, innovative and high-performing software that complies with coding standards, technical design and industry regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional software development or programming experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with proprietary and open source Artificial Intelligence Models.
  • Familiarity with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
  • Commercial Cloud Service Offerings- Demonstrated experience navigating, building on, or managing third-party cloud computing platforms.
  • DevSecOps pipelines for Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) workflows.
  • Ability to obtain/maintain a federal security clearance.
  • Experience developing for embedded systems and Linux+ and/or Security+ certifications preferred but not required.
  • Systems programming experience using Python, Java, Rust, C++, SQL desired.
