Position Scope:

A Human Resources (HR) Generalist is a versatile role responsible for managing various aspects of employee lifecycle within an organization, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, performance management, compliance, and training, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to company policies and labor laws across the work force.

Job Duties (Role Priorities, Position Responsibilities)

· Hiring for all departments of the company

· Administer health and welfare plans, including enrollments and terminations. Process required documents through payroll and insurance.

· Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.

· Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, pay rates, organizational structure, and other key details.

· Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.

· Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.

· Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.

· Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.

· Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate higher level HR staff and management

· Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records

· Maintaining and revising the company’s handbook on policies and procedures

· Maintaining corrective action program

· Facilitating new employee onboarding procedures, including paperwork, introductions, and training.

· Conducts or assists with interviews.

· Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, and 401K options.

· Maintaining department records and reports

· Maintaining company directory and other organizational charts

· Delivering and coordinating employee trainings

· Payroll and Benefits

· Performs other duties as assigned

Required Experience/Qualifications/Education/Skills:

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent interpersonal with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Proficient with the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information systems, and similar computer applications.

· Must possess strong interpersonal skills

· Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees and members of the HR team, and in group presentations and meetings.

· Must be able to effectively read and interpret information.

· Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently

· Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality

· HS Diploma or related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Successful applicant must be bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Punjabi

Preferred Experience/Qualifications/Education/Skills:

· Hiring, Human Resources Management, Benefits Administration, Performance Management, Communication Processes, Compensation and Wage Structure, Supports Diversity, Classifying Employees, Employment Law, Laws Against Sexual Harassment, Organization

· Strong understanding of employment laws and compliance regulations

· Associates degree in related field required

· Prior related office experience preferred

Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
