Role summary

This is a 6-month contract role for a Senior Data Analyst in Toronto, ON, requiring a hybrid work model with 4 days onsite. The role demands at least 3 years of experience in data analysis or business analysis, with a strong focus on data warehousing and banking environments. Key responsibilities include advanced SQL querying and data profiling on Teradata, eliciting and documenting business requirements, and possessing knowledge of AI and Git. Preferred skills include system design, understanding of various data warehousing concepts (DWE, EDW, CSDM, RBDM), and experience with cloud technologies, Python, and CI/CD pipelines.

Title: Senior Data Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON - Hybrid (4 days on site)

Contract Length: 6 Months with a possibility of extension

Must-have Skills:

At least 3 years of experience within a Senior Data Analyst/business analyst-related role

Experience in data warehousing and/or banking

AI and GIT knowledge.

Strong Business Analysis (BA) and/or Data Analysis, superb technical data requirements

Strong SQL skills, writing queries and data profiling on Teradata Platform

Superb communication and stakeholder skills

Expertise in eliciting and documenting business requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Nice-to-have Skills:

Knowledge of system design principles and ability to interpret data flow diagrams and Data Models.

Working Knowledge of Data warehouse, DWE, EDW, CSDM & RBDM

Ability to read and understand code, enabling effective communication with development teams.

Familiarity with Git knowledge (the tool/software itself for version control)

Strong Technical Hands-on experience with on-prem and cloud data warehouse technologies to lead and own the end-to-end EDW projects, collaborating closely with IT and Business Application teams.

Strong Hands-on leadership to Design, Operationalize, and continuously improve Data and AI-based applications while ensuring adherence to governance and seamless Production Implementation in a highly complex environment.

Exceptional Team Player with strong Technical Development skills on Applications/Tools like Mainframe, DataStage, SQLs, Python, Git/GitHub (CI/CD pipeline), Reporting Dashboards, Snowflake, Cloud Technologies etc.

Competence in data analysis tools and techniques, crucial for deciphering complex datasets.
