RC4Vets is seeking a Test Engineer. Employing both automated and manual tools for testing, you will identify and report accessibility barriers, providing comprehensive recommendations for remediation. You will collaborate with developers and designers, to address issues and integrate accessible design principles staying abreast of evolving accessibility standards, offering training sessions and maintaining documentation of testing processes. Strong ability to multitask and ability to switch between testing various systems quickly. This role is a remote role.

Responsibilities

  • Experienced in JDBC for database testing and ensuring data integrity.
  • Skilled in API testing using Postman and Rest Assured for validating RESTful APIs.
  • Familiarity with Karate, Visual Studio Code, Maven and Jenkins
  • Strong scripting abilities in Java, Python, C# or any other programming language for writing and executing test scripts.
  • Knowledge of Gherkin syntax for behavior-driven development (BDD) and crafting feature files.
  • Competent in utilizing HTML for web application testing and SQL for database interaction.
  • Analysis of Test results, Defect management and reporting, maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • 3-5 years of work experience in Manual, Integration, and Functional
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical related discipline
  • Excellent communication & analytical and investigation skills
  • Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, and other web technologies
  • Proactively communicate and coordinate with various internal and external project stakeholders.
  • Well versed in the use of Microsoft Teams.
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The candidate must also possess effective communication, analytical, and writing skills. A proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment is also desired
  • Analytical and investigation skills, Willingness to learn and ability to troubleshoot.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Integration & Interface Testing experience
  • Experience with VA and/or other Federal Agencies.
  • Demonstrated experience in a remote work environment.

Pay Range
RC4Vets considers multiple factors in determining final pay, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, education, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role. The pay range for this position is: $70,000-$78,000.
