Overview
Seeking a hands-on Mechatronics Test Engineer to design, build, and deploy custom test fixtures supporting reliability and system-level testing. This role requires a unique blend of mechanical design, electrical integration, and scripting capability to deliver turnkey test solutions.
The ideal candidate will be able to design, build, integrate and script test fixtures end to end.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and build custom test fixtures from concept through execution
- Integrate sensors, motors, and electrical components into test systems
- Write and maintain scripts (Python or similar) to automate test execution
- Support and execute reliability testing protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
- Own test solutions end-to-end without reliance on multiple resources
Required Qualifications
- Background in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (0-2 years of experience)
- Proven experience designing and building test fixtures
- Strong hands-on hardware integration experience
- Ability to write scripts for test automation (Python preferred)
- Experience working in lab or test environments
- Ability to work onsite in Santa Clara, CA
Preferred Qualifications
- Reliability testing experience
- Electrical engineering exposure (PCBs, interfaces)
- Prior MedTech or regulated industry experience
