Role summary

RealmOne is seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) – Mid to support a government client. This role is critical in managing the operational security posture and ensuring information system security policies, standards, and procedures are followed. The ISSE will provide support for information assurance programs, manage security aspects of information systems, perform vulnerability/risk assessments, and oversee configuration management. Key responsibilities include managing system changes, assessing security impacts, and preparing documentation for security authorization processes in compliance with RMF and DIACAP. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 10 years of ISSE experience, and DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE II are required, along with an active Security Clearance and Polygraph.

We are seeking an experienced Information System Security Engineer (ISSE) to join our technology-based program supporting a key government customer. As an ISSE, you will play a critical role in managing the operational security posture and ensuring information system security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.

The ISSE – Mid shall possess the following capabilities:

  • Provide support for a program, organization, system, or enclave’s information assurance program.
  • Provide management support for proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing information systems, security policies, standards, and methodologies.
  • Manage operational security posture for an information system or program to ensure information systems security policies, standards, and procedures are established and followed.
  • Provide management of security aspects of the Information System and perform day-to-day security operations of the system.
  • Manage the performance of vulnerability/risk assessment analysis to support security authorization.
  • Provide management support to configuration management (CM) for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Provide configuration management (CM) for information systems security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Manage changes to systems and assess the security impact of those changes.
  • Manage the process and preparation of documentation reviews to include System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).
  • Support security authorization activities in compliance with CSS Risk Management Framework (RMF) process and DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security System Engineering, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, four (4) additional years of ISSE experience may be substituted.
  • Ten (10) years’ experience as an ISSE on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity to include recent experience within the last Four (4) years with Cybersecurity principles and technology, including access/control, authorization, identification and authentication, PKI, network and enterprise security architecture is required.
  • DoD 8570 compliance with IASAE II is required.

Position requires active Security Clearance with appropriate Polygraph
