Cloud Engineer II
who will design, implement, and support enterprise‐level Microsoft Azure environments. This is a great opportunity for a mid-level cloud engineer who enjoys hands-on infrastructure work, automation, governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
You'll work closely with architecture, security, and operations teams to ensure the cloud environment is scalable, secure, and optimized. You will take ownership of moderately complex cloud initiatives and collaborate with senior engineers on larger solutions.
What You'll Do
- Deploy and optimize Azure infrastructure: VNets, NSGs, Firewalls, App Gateway, VPN/ExpressRoute, load balancers
- Support compute services: VMs, VM Scale Sets, App Services, AKS
- Assist in building Azure storage, backup, and disaster recovery solutions
- Build IaC using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
- Automate tasks using PowerShell, Python, and Azure CLI
- Implement Azure security best practices: RBAC, Managed Identities, Key Vault, Policies, Blueprints
- Maintain cloud governance: naming standards, tagging, resource organization
- Manage monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, App Insights
- Support Azure AD identity integrations: Conditional Access, PIM, B2B/B2C
- Troubleshoot issues across network, compute, storage, and identity layers
- Optimize Azure cost, capacity, and performance
- Maintain diagrams, runbooks, and technical documentation
- Collaborate across teams on cloud initiatives and continuous improvements
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree preferred (CS, IS, Engineering, or similar)
- 3+ years of hands-on Azure engineering experience
- Experience in multi-location or enterprise environments (healthcare a plus)
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, compute, and governance
- Experience with hybrid environments and on-prem connectivity
- Automation experience: PowerShell, Python, Azure CLI
- IaC experience with Terraform, Bicep, or ARM
- Working knowledge of VMware ESXi
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Collaborative mindset; able to contribute to technical initiatives
- Self-driven, curious, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
