2. What You Will Do

As a
Founding iOS Engineer
, you will build and define the company’s next-generation mobile experience from the ground up.You will:

- Own the iOS app end-to-end across core marketplace flows (search, discovery, booking, account, and post-booking).
- Architect and build a
high-quality native iOS codebase
from scratch, including state management, networking, testing, and CI/CD.
- Partner closely with product and design to create
polished, intuitive mobile experiences
.
- Define mobile product strategy and identify opportunities where mobile can drive the most business impact.
- Collaborate with backend engineers to design performant and scalable API contracts.
- Optimize performance, reliability, and user experience across all aspects of the app.
- Instrument analytics to track user behavior and drive product improvements.
- Set engineering standards for quality, testing, and maintainability.
- Play a foundational role in building the iOS team and shaping engineering culture.

3. Ideal Background

- 5+ years of experience building
production iOS applications
.
- Strong expertise in
Swift and modern iOS development (SwiftUI/UIKit)
.
- Experience building
consumer-facing products at scale
with high UX quality.
- Proven experience influencing or owning
architecture decisions
for iOS applications.
- Strong product sense with the ability to translate complex workflows into simple user experiences.
- Experience working closely with backend teams on APIs and system design.
- Strong engineering fundamentals (testing, observability, performance, reliability).
- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate in
0→1 environments
.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

4. Preferred

- Experience at
top-tier consumer companies or high-growth startups

- Background working on
marketplace or mobile-first products
.
- Experience scaling mobile applications with millions of users.
- Experience mentoring engineers or helping build teams.
- Strong product taste and attention to detail in UX and performance.

5. Compensation and Benefits

- Base Salary:
$190K – $210K
