🌟 About the Role
We’re looking for a
Principal Machine Learning Engineer
to serve as a foundational technical leader on our AI team.
This is not a traditional ML role. You’ll be working at the frontier of
multimodal AI
, solving open-ended problems that combine
language, vision, and spatial reasoning
—with no established playbooks.
🧠 What You’ll Do
- Lead architecture and technical direction for the AI platform
- Design and build
novel ML systems
for multimodal understanding and generation
- Work across
LLMs, vision models, and spatial reasoning systems
- Develop training pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and model-serving infrastructure
- Extend and adapt foundation models to a unique 3D instructional dataset
- Tackle research-oriented challenges from concept → production
- Mentor engineers and raise the bar for engineering excellence
- Partner with AI leadership and executive team on strategy
🔎 What We’re Looking For
- 8+ years
in machine learning with production systems experience
- Deep expertise in
PyTorch (preferred)
or similar frameworks
- Strong experience with
LLMs, multimodal models, or deep learning architectures
- Ability to read research papers and translate ideas into working systems
- Strong software engineering skills (clean, scalable, production-ready code)
- Comfortable working in
ambiguous, research-heavy environments
- Proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives
- U.S. Citizenship is REQUIRED
— due to a federal government contract (no visas, transfers, or sponsorship)

- Vision-Language Models, multimodal architectures, or embodied AI
- 3D understanding, CAD, spatial computing, or geometric deep learning
- Model optimization, inference performance, and large-scale deployment
- Publications, open-source contributions, or research impact
- Startup or high-growth environment experience
