Redwood Materials is seeking a Production Operations Associate to ensure the efficient movement and processing of materials in a manufacturing environment. This role supports production goals by managing raw materials, preparing finished goods, and operating manufacturing and material handling equipment. Responsibilities include forklift operation, using HMIs and WMS, inventory management, and adhering to safety and quality standards. The position requires experience in manufacturing/warehouse settings, familiarity with hazardous materials, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, continuously operating environment. Candidates must be reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality. This is a full-time, onsite position with varying shifts available.

Production Associate
The Production Operations Associate will ensure the efficient movement and processing of materials to support production goals, facilitate the timely receipt of raw materials, and prepare finished goods for shipment in a collaborative work environment under specific safety and quality guidelines.
Responsibilities will include:
Support day-to-day operations of a continuously running production line, including material sampling, forklift operation, and performing actions within Ignition and other Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs)
Operate and train on material processing and manufacturing equipment, including material conveyance systems, shredding and milling equipment, and material screening and separation systems
Operate and train on powered industrial trucks (PIT), including but not limited to forklifts and reach trucks
Pick, stage, and load materials and inventory required for production areas
Receive inbound shipments of raw materials, maintenance parts, and engineering equipment from suppliers
Maintain accurate data and transactions within a Warehouse Management System (WMS) and generate reports to support operational and management decisions
Participate in physical inventory audits, cycle counts, and reconciliation activities to ensure inventory accuracy
Follow established material flow strategies to improve operational efficiency and minimize downtime
Support and model quality control practices to ensure materials meet production and safety standards
Foster a culture of safety and compliance, with a strong focus on the safe use of production and material-handling equipment
Desired Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is preferred.
Experience working in a manufacturing, production, warehouse, or industrial environment preferred
Familiarity with hazardous material handling practices; HAZWOPER certification preferred, or the ability to obtain certification
Experience working in required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, hard hats, disposable coveralls, and Powered Air-Purifying Respirators (PAPRs)
Basic computer skills and comfort using systems such as HMIs, tablets, or inventory and production tracking software
Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality standards
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety, quality, and accuracy
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, continuously operating environment
Willingness to learn new processes, equipment, and technologies through on-the-job training
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and provide clear updates or feedback as needed.
Reliable and dependable, with flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, or overtime as needed.

Shifts Available:
Shift A: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Sunday–Thursday, working every other Wednesday
Shift C: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Thursday–Saturday, working every other Wednesday
Physical Requirements:
Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
Ability to complete a respiratory fit test and respiratory medical evaluation
Ability to work with Tyvek suits, Powered Air Purifying Respirator (PAPR), and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time (up to a full shift)
Ability to climb ladders and stairs
Ability to operate and train on equipment such as forklifts, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other specialized machinery
Working Conditions:
Work may be performed in a variety of environments, including office, indoor industrial, and outdoor settings
Exposure to environmental conditions such as loud noise, dust, chemicals, and extreme heat or cold
Ability to work in challenging conditions for extended periods of time, including varying temperatures and industrial environments
May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate
The position is full-time. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
