Role summary

Responsibilities:
Essential Functions:
- Assist with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) activities
- Support vendor risk assessment processes
- Monitor and review Google Workspace alerts and dashboards
- Review security tool dashboards including SentinelOne, Varonis, and Proofpoint
- Conduct research on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices
- Support Student SOC initiative
- Organize and maintain the Information Security Department's SharePoint site
Additional Responsibilities:
- Participate in monthly Digital Forensics and Incident Response (DFIR) lab trainings
- Participate in security projects such as tabletop exercises, phishing simulations, and security assessments
- Help maintain security documentation including SOPs and playbooks
- Support incident response activities by gathering information and documenting findings as able under supervision
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled student majoring in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
- Familiarity with common security tools and technologies (SIEM, EDR, firewalls)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with ability to work independently and as part of a team
