- About the Opportunity:
The Cloud Engineer will support the SaaS platform infrastructure by collaborating with Software Engineering to implement, automate, and maintain AWS environments. This role involves transitioning legacy systems to automated cloud workflows while ensuring platform stability, security, and performance. The position is essential to maintaining a reliable cloud infrastructure that supports ongoing product development and customer needs.
- Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Software Engineering to deploy and configure AWS resources for new product features
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code templates using Terraform or CloudFormation
• Manage and troubleshoot Windows-based cloud instances to ensure high availability
• Support CI/CD pipeline management and troubleshoot deployment issues
• Configure and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems such as CloudWatch
• Implement security best practices, including IAM roles, VPC settings, and security group management
• Monitor resource utilization and assist with cost optimization efforts
• Participate in incident management, performing root-cause analysis and coordinating resolutions
• Stay current on AWS and DevOps tools; contribute to documentation and process improvements
• Participate in on-call rotation and perform scheduled after-hours technical work as needed
- Requirements:
• AS or BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure and services
• Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Experience supporting MSSQL environments with knowledge of database fundamentals
• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and Python for automation
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Customer service oriented with ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Highly organized and detail-oriented
• AWS Certified CloudOps Engineer - Associate or equivalent certification preferred
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• The pay range for this role is $90,000 - $120,000. Compensation decisions consider factors such as skills, education, experience, certifications, and organizational needs. Hiring near the top of the range is uncommon.
