- About the Opportunity:
The Tableau Data Analyst role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining advanced Tableau dashboards that support investigations and performance tracking related to suspected fraud and program audits. This position plays a critical role in enhancing data-driven decision-making and communication across various business areas by leveraging data visualization and statistical analysis. The role requires collaboration across teams to improve processes and maximize the value of data insights within the organization.
- Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, implement, and maintain Tableau dashboards for the Office of the Inspector General.
• Manage user access permissions and regularly review and configure Tableau content.
• Support software integration between Tableau and other business applications.
• Train users, provide troubleshooting support, and monitor dashboard utilization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop user-friendly data access and process improvements.
• Apply statistical techniques to datasets, emphasizing Tableau-driven analysis.
• Maintain operational documentation of Tableau environments and processes.
• Perform additional duties to support organizational objectives, including limited statewide travel.
- Requirements:
• Graduation from a four-year accredited college or university, preferably with coursework in public health epidemiology, biostatistics, data science, or business analytics.
• Knowledge of statistics, data analysis, data models, and data security practices.
• Proficiency in Tableau and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with other data visualization and business intelligence tools.
• Familiarity with statistical analysis software such as SAS or SQL.
• Skills in designing and maintaining Tableau dashboards.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Effective time management and task prioritization.
• Ability to communicate clearly and supervise others.
• Capacity to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Pay Range and Compensation Package:
• Salary range: $5,425.33 to $6,562.50 per month.
