• About the Opportunity:

The Senior Staff Infrastructure Engineer will lead and elevate the Infrastructure Engineering team responsible for creating and maintaining scalable, reliable platforms. This role involves designing and managing infrastructure that supports engineers, customers, AI agents, and employees. The position drives the technical strategy, ensuring alignment with business goals and advancing infrastructure automation and resilience. This role is key to enabling high organizational velocity and improving developer experience through advanced CI/CD and self-service platforms. The position requires a minimum of 10 years of cloud infrastructure experience and offers remote work.

• Responsibilities:

• Define long-term technical strategy for scalable, resilient infrastructure

• Lead cross-functional teams to implement performance-optimized solutions

• Act as top technical authority aligning infrastructure with business objectives

• Own "build vs. buy" decisions for major infrastructure technologies

• Diagnose complex issues and drive engineering solutions

• Establish and promote SRE culture, define SLOs/SLIs, and lead reliability initiatives

• Improve developer experience via self-service platforms and CI/CD systems

• Lead high-severity incident responses and post-incident reviews

• Drive hyper-automation to minimize operational toil and enable self-healing systems

• Communicate technical strategies to leadership and engineering teams

• Requirements:

• Extensive experience designing and operating large-scale, resilient AWS cloud infrastructure (EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, NoSQL databases)

• Expert-level Infrastructure as Code skills with Terraform, including reusable modules and governance

• Leadership in managing enterprise-grade Kubernetes (EKS) and microservice platforms

• Proven expertise in designing and managing CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)

• Track record of building internal self-service platforms and developer tools

• Strong knowledge of advanced networking concepts (mesh, service discovery, VPC design, security groups)

• Excellent technical communication and cross-functional leadership skills

• Software engineering experience with Java, Python, or TypeScript preferred
